Trade signage guide

How to Prepare a Custom Sign Manufacturing Quote

A complete brief helps a manufacturing partner review the construction and quote the intended sign. You can start a discussion before every detail is settled; clearly mark any information that still needs confirmation.

Company and project information

Include your company, contact details, project name and delivery city or postal code. For coordinated signage, provide a sign schedule and identify each sign type.

Artwork and dimensions

Supply vector artwork where possible, plus overall width and height and the measurement unit. Identify the quantity and any variations in copy, logos or dimensions.

Lighting and finish

Specify face-lit, edge-lit, halo-lit or combined lighting if applicable. Include material and finish preferences, colour references and the desired appearance.

Mounting and environment

Describe the mounting surface, proposed hardware, installation location and electrical requirements for illuminated products. Identify any site-specific engineering, permit or accessibility requirements.

Schedule and delivery

Share a requested delivery date, destination and packaging constraints. Requested dates are not confirmed production commitments; the team reviews the schedule with the project specifications.

Artwork approval

Check spelling, dimensions, colours, quantities and mounting information on the final dimensioned drawing. A catalogue visualization is not a production proof.
